Authentic Natural Experiences

When I was 10 years old, my dad passed away. I distinctly remember sitting by myself in a swing at the park feeling profoundly alone when I suddenly and intensely felt his presence. I had no doubt he was there with me at that moment. I felt the words from him speaking straight to my soul “This is your life. Go live it.”  

I have, in one way or another, shaped my life around that philosophy. I have tried to follow my instincts and passions instead of adhering to perceived expectations and outcomes. This life philosophy has led me to many great experiences: mountain guide, ski patrol, participant in a K2 expedition, Army Ranger, wilderness survival instructor, skydiver, sailplane pilot, paraglider pilot, and hopefully more to come!  

My wife, two 12 yr old pups and I live full time in our 25 ft Airstream trailer (the Flying Cloud), which allows me to follow another passion of mine: photography. Capturing individuals living life and following their own desire for adventure has been a lifelong pursuit of mine. I can't seem to walk away from it. I am pulled by the desire to tell stories.  

I hope by following my passion I am able to collaborate and illustrate other’s stories of life's abundant adventure and opportunities. I strive to capture the vibration of a mountain summit, the electric feeling of a turning point in life, the reason a broad smile suddenly appears and the buzzing energy of something unknown. Ultimately, the connection I am able to make through photography with that person and that story is what lights up my soul.

I believe I can build that collaboration through my photography. I am always on the look out for a show- stopping, unexpected, spontaneous human experience, big or small.
